  1. Combine beans, oats, flax and spices in a bowl and mix well. Add barbecue sauce and stir.
  2. Use a potato masher to mash approximately 2/3 of the beans. Taste and add additional barbecue sauce and/or seasoning to taste.
  3. Form mixture into patties.
  4. Bake on parchment lined baking sheet at 400 for 15-20 minutes, flipping once during cooking time. Burgers are done when they are dry and lightly browned on the outside.
  5. Cool and freeze if desired! These are perfect to pull out for an easy summer meal on the grill!
