Steel Cut Oats in a Programmable Rice Cooker
I bought a programmable Aroma Rice Cooker at Costco 7 years ago for $30, and it was life-changing. I think I convinced at least 6 family members they needed one too. Mine may have been used more than all of theirs put together, as I have used it at least once, often twice a day for most of that time. I just recently made the switch to the Instant Pot but almost unbelievably that rice cooker still works and may still make an appearance when I need to cook two things at once.
We often mixed other grains with the steel cut oats – quinoa, amaranth, cracked spelt and others.

Instructions
Place oats and water in rice cooker and set delay timer for time you want the oats done. So if it's 7:00 pm, and you want your breakfast ready at 7:00 am, set the delay timer for 12 hours.
